Australian Branch of America's New Waterless Car Wash Wins Multiple Business Awards

SAN DIEGO, September 11, 2008 - ecowash mobile USA, an environmentally-friendly car wash franchise that recently launched major expansion plans throughout America, announced today that its Australian counterpart swept the 2008 Australian Business Awards, winning in four categories, including Service Excellence, International Trade, Environmental Sustainability and Enterprise.
This is the second consecutive year that ecowash mobile won Australian Business Awards, which is an independent organization that coordinates a national awards program recognizing success, innovation and ethics across all industry sectors. Last year, ecowash mobile won the Enterprise category.
"It is an incredible honor to be recognized in so many categories, it is a reflection of the effort the entire ecowash mobile team puts in at a local level," said Jim Cornish, ecowash mobile CEO and co-founder. The waterless car wash franchise, which has saved more than 11.5 million gallons of water in Australia, recently partnered with U.S. franchising experts to expand the concept here in America. With corporate headquarters set up in Carlsbad, California, ecowash mobile USA has sold and opened master franchises in Florida and Nevada, and registered its franchise opportunity in every U.S. state. Company executives project to sell at least one master franchise in each state and put an estimated 1,000 bright orange, branded ecowash mobile USA vehicles on the road by 2010.
ecowash mobile USA is able to travel to a customer's vehicle and clean it wherever it's parked at the time. Instead of water, ecowash mobile USA uses a special polymer lubricant to clean the surface of the cars, which lifts the dirt from the surface of the paint and encapsules it. The dirt is then removed with a soft cloth - all without water and without a scratch, unlike traditional car washing techniques.
"The United States has quickly accepted the waterless washing process because of the quality, convenience and water conservation," said Mike Watorski, vice president of franchising in the United States for ecowash mobile USA. "We have been successful in America because of the strong foundation and business model that was developed in Australia, and the awards are a great testament to that."
